College Life...
I currently live and go to school at Gonzaga University in Washington State. #GOZAGS
I am studying public relations, promotions, and journalism in college.
I am a licensed Zumba instructor and I have so much fun teaching classes.
I enjoy being active and spending time outside when it's sunny.
Major Girly Girl...
I'm a total girly girl. Purple, pink, and glitter are my favorite colors (yes, I'm counting glitter as a color). I like to be organized and color code my schedules. I have multiple stuffed animals in my room which make me feel like a 5-year-old. I consider the spring Daylight Savings a holiday because I like longer days and shorter nights (...it stays sunnier longer).
In My Spare Time...
My favorite TV shows are currently Gossip Girl and How I Met Your Mother, and I will never get tired of The OC. I really enjoy reading magazines - my favorites are Glamour, Lucky, People Style Watch, Fitness, and Shape. I also enjoy reading books and have a Kindle that comes in handy when I want to read outside or at the gym!
Take Me Back To Europe...
I studied abroad in summer 2011 in Italy and it was amazing. I want to travel the world! I'd like to go back to Europe as well as explore other continents.
Career Experience...
+My first internship was a Looks On Campus writing position for College Fashion. I was ecstatic when I got the position, because not only did I land my first internship, but CF has been on my favorite-blog-list since my high school days.
+Last spring I won an internship contest through the Spokane Regional MARCOM Association where I spent summer and fall 2012 doing PR for a local, non-profit organization. I learned so much from incredibly passionate people.
+I am currently the copy editor for my school's yearbook. This is my second year on staff and I'm improving my writing and design skills.
+I am a board member of my university's chapter of PRSSA, where I create monthly newsletters and manage social media accounts.
+I love social media and all things PR! Since I'll be graduating in May 2013 and I'd love to begin my post-college career working in PR.
